Joseph Lyman

Joseph Lyman was born in 1749 at New London, Connecticut; he died in 1828 at Hatfield, Massachusetts. He graduated from Yale College in 1767 and Williams College in 1801 and was a founding trustee at Amherst College and a founding member of the American Foreign Missions Society. He was minister of the First Congregational Church in Hatfield, Hampshire County, Massachusetts for over 55 years.
