Toby Kurth spent over 14 years as an entrepreneur and environmental consultant before entering full-time ministry. He studied environmental policy analysis and planning at the University of California, Davis, earned a master’s in historical theology at Westminster Seminary, California, and pursued doctoral studies in history at Stony Brook University. While in New York, he helped plant a church in Brooklyn, an experience that gave him a passion for church planting and proclaiming the gospel in cities. In 2009, he planted a church in San Francisco, where he has served for over 16 years. Toby and his wife Rebekah have three sons and live in San Francisco.
